Easy running

March 3rd, 2012

One of the most popular sports worldwide is running. Having taken up running many years ago, I find a lot of people asking me for tips on getting started. Often they are surprised to know that running is not something that you can start at the drop of a hat. While getting the right gear like the right running shoes, apparel and even the mandatory music is easy to figure out, there are other aspects of running that are often ignored. It is often news for them to know that warming up before a run and cooling off after a run are things that cannot be ignored. These are a lot easier to do than finding specific information on enigin scam Africa, since they are very shrewdly done.

Warming up is essential as muscles are in sleep mode or resting until they are used. A sudden strain on them results in damage that is often painful and takes long to heal. Warming up on the other hand causes the muscles in the body to be slowly woken up and make them ready to take on the task at hand. It limbers them up for the upcoming strain they are going to be exposed to. Being prepared is half the battle won. It makes running so much easier and less damaging to the muscles. Stretching exercises are the best to prevent damage. Follow a regimen that includes the whole body. Emphasis should be laid on stretching the leg muscles.

Along with this, it is equally important to cool off after a run. The muscles in the body, particularly those in the legs, are exposed to considerable strain and need to be slowly relaxed to increase the blood flow and take away the strain. Give your calf muscles a good rub down after a run to relax them. You can also lie on your back and pedal in the air to relax the muscles. This prevents cramps which will show up, most likely, the next day.

A little care before and after goes a long way in ensuring that you have a good run and are enjoying it too.
